The Constraint

Organisations that cannot use public cloud face a different problem from the one the industry discusses. Not whether accelerators exist, but whether they can be powered, cooled, secured and operated inside a building that was never designed to house them.

Air cooling reaches its practical limit well below the densities AI workloads require. Electrical capacity, floor loading, water availability, acoustic limits and jurisdictional control each become a reason a project stalls in review rather than in procurement.

A conventional AI infrastructure deployment asks the buyer to solve power, cooling, water, connectivity, compliance and operations separately, each with a different vendor, a different timeline and a different point of failure. The integration risk sits entirely with the customer, and it is where most projects lose their schedule.

CoralDC is building toward a pod and modular data centre platform where those problems arrive pre-integrated: the thermal architecture matched to the customer's actual hardware generation, the power and grid interface engineered in, and the operations layer to run all of it. What the customer buys is an outcome rather than a set of parts.

This is a direction, and CoralDC says so. It is being built through the company's own engineering plus a deliberately curated set of external technology relationships. Thermal Architecture

CoralDC deploys immersion cooling today, and is building toward hybrid for a stated reason.

Coral Edge and Coral OnPrem pods ship single-phase immersion cooling now: sealed dielectric fluid, dual redundant pumps, no fans in the thermal path. This is where CoralDC is unambiguously strong today, and the strongest case for it is sealed, dusty, humid, acoustically constrained and unstaffed environments, plus a large share of the PCIe and HGX class hardware institutions actually run.

Next-generation rack-scale AI systems ship one hundred percent liquid cooled at the compute tray, with cold plates fitted at manufacture, and no immersion reference architecture published for that generation. That is why CoralDC's next platform is hybrid, combining direct-to-chip cooling with immersion, and CoralDC states plainly that this is a direction under engineering, not a current product.
